Dread Captain!
Born and raised in the West Country, amid swashbuckling tales of piracy and smugglers, I originally grew up wanting to sail the seven seas and plunder all those who got in my way. After a few mishaps, the last involving a slipway, a makeshift ship, a missing bathplug and a very irate harbour master I turned my attention to my second love, and began exploring behind the scenes of the computer games I was playing at the time, most notably Half-Life and Battlefield 1942. Starting simply by editing textures, I soon learned to model in Milkshape 3D, and from there naturally moved onto 3D Studio Max.
Years later, and I spend much of my time working on various projects, from simply creating scenes in Max to my long term role in the development of Stargate: Legacy, a Stargate themed Half-Life 2 mod, as lead 3D artist, animator and part-time level developer.
Since I started a course at Sheffield Hallam University, I have also found myself enjoying working with Flash and Actionscript 3, and often dabble in creating simple games, both for the course and my own entertainment.
Avast!
Outside of my games development ambitions I play the guitar, learn Swedish, and embarrass my flatmates by dancing to Peps Persson badly in the kitchen. I've also been known to commit the heinous crime of juggling in public.
I currently study Media and Communication Informatics at Reutlingen University, in south-western Germany, as part of my placement year, after which I will be searching for a placement job in Europe for the remaining six months.

...I still plan to sail the seas. When I can find a parrot that'll sit still...
